The Third GMIF2024 Innovation Summit was successfully held at the Renaissance Shenzhen Bay Hotel in recent days. The event brought together senior executives and industry experts from renowned domestic and international companies, including the School of Integrated Circuits at Peking University, Micron, Western Digital, Solidigm, Arm, UNISOC, Intel, iFlytek, Rockchip, Silicon Motion, BIWIN, Victory Giant, Allwinner, InnoGrit, Maxio, QUANXING, Montage, Applied Materials (AMAT), Lam Research, DISCO, Skyverse, Loongson Technology, and many others. During the summit, the GMIF2024 Annual Awards were officially unveiled, and a total of 38 key enterprises from across the industry supply chain had been honored for their outstanding contributions.


At the Third GMIF2024 Innovation Summit, Prasad Alluri, the Vice President and General Manager of Client Storage for Micron’s Storage Business Unit, delivered a keynote speech titled “Data is at the heart of AI: Micron memory & storage are fueling the AI revolution!” Mr. Alluri provided an in-depth analysis of AI’s profound impact on the storage industry and shared Micron’s crucial role in driving industry transformation, particularly in memory and storage innovations empowered by AI.



AI is Everywhere: From Autonomous Driving, Healthcare, and Smart Manufacturing to Its Deep Integration into Everyday Life

AI’s influence is now so pervasive that it’s interwoven into the very fabric of our existence from personal life to enterprise operations. Micron’s extensive experience with AI spans diverse applications, from promoting environmental sustainability in air and water to identifying intricate challenges in wafer substrates. “For instance, benefiting from AI technology, Micron’s intelligent manufacturing platform demonstrates excellent performance in optimizing wafer image analysis. Statistics show that 23 million wafer images can be processed weekly, and the product scrap rate has been reduced by 22%, significantly improving production efficiency. This is not just a technological innovation; it is a real-world example of AI’s successful implementation in the industrial sector,” Prasad Alluri shared

Prasad Alluri stated that based on Micron’s advanced DRAM and high-performance SSD solutions, AI model training and inference can achieve more efficient and faster data processing.
